A Brief History

The Club was founded in February 1982 by Richard Jackson, who is still involved in our club as he is our life long president, Stan Jackson and Tom Hansgate with 6 boys. This number quickly increased and an under 10 team was entered in the Garforth Junior League in September 1982.

At present, we have nearly 200 players ranging from under 6 to under 17, all of which play in the Huddersfield RCD Junior League. All of these teams have at least one coach with a minimum of a level one coaching badge.

In the past certain boys have played for Leeds City Boys, and in 1989 three under 11 boys travelled with the Leeds School of Excellence, who were chosen to represent England in an international tournament in St. Louis, USA.
